Suivez notre aventure au Bénin, au sein de l'Institut Culturel Somba à Natitingou du 10 au 24 juillet 2011.
Organisé dans le cadre d'un congé solidaire en partenariat avec Planète Urgence et AXA Technology Services, c'est l'occasion pour nous deux de découvrir un continent, un pays, une région, une culture, mais surtout des femmes et des hommes et de leur donner un peu de nos connaissances et les aider dans leurs projets de développement.
La mission consiste à initier une quinzaine d'artistes de l'Institut Culturel Somba, à l'utilisation de la bureautique et la pratique de l'Internet. Nous ne découvrirons réellement le niveau des participants qu'une fois sur place, mais cette initiation s'inscrit pour eux dans une démarche d'autonomie dans la réalisation de leurs activités. Bien entendu, deux semaines ne suffiront pas à atteindre l'objectif de tous les participants, d'autres volontaires prendront le relai après nous.
Notre mission s'inscrit dans un objectif global de cette région, qui est de permettre un développement économique, et par conséquence de préserver l'habitat des populations locales de manière durable.

Follow us during our adventure in Benin at the “Institut Culturel Somba” in Natitingou from July 10th to 24th 2011.
It is a partnership between Planète Urgence (charity) and AXA Technology Services and the occasion for us both to discover a continent, a country, a culture but especially the folks of Natitingou to share our knowledge with them and assist them in achieving their development ambitions.
The purpose of the mission is to teach the basics of office work and I.T. to about 15 artists of the “Institut Culturel Somba”. We will actually know their level of experience when we get there and for them, this should be the starting point to an autonomous way of reaching their objectives. Of course, two weeks will not be sufficient for completing this but other volunteers will surely take over in the future. This is our contribution to the regional effort to increase the economic development and consequently preserve the local populations and habitats in the long term.
